Friday, April 23rd, 2010Kanye West – Welcome To Heartbreak ft. Kid Cudi
Friday, April 23rd, 2010Amazing song, amazing video… what else can be said? I just wish that people had been smart enough to “get” this album. It’s a masterpiece.
Throwback Thursday: Stacy’s Mom – Fountains of Wayne
Thursday, April 22nd, 2010I know that I’m going to get heat for saying this, but… I always thought “Stacy” was hotter than her mom. I’m just saying, if *I* was the kid in the video… nevermind.
The Bischoff/Cornette flame war continues
Saturday, April 17th, 2010Eric Bischoff recently made some more comments about Jim Cornette, despite Cornette not responding to Bischoff’s initial remarks…
“Jim needs psychological help. I know it must be tough getting up in the morning and looking at yourself in the mirror and realizing you look like 240 pounds of sausage stuffed in a 12 ounce polyester bag….but Jim needs to move on. The television business passed him by many Big Macs ago.”
“Kevin, threatening to kill someone, posting confidential corporate information, and posting terroristic threats doesn’t make you a “genius” any more than criticizing the efforts/success of others when they realize that you have nothing to offer. Jim is a washed up, has been IWC icon to the 5% of the people that makes up a television audience.”
Bischoff really looks like a dickhead here, because a) Cornette did not respond to Bischoff’s first shots, so another round of insults from Eric can be seen as bullying, b) Bischoff took the low road here, attacking Cornette’s weight and appearance, neither of which had anything to do with the initial argument, and c) TNA’s ratings are in the shitter right now, and Bischoff should really spend more of his time focusing on improving the TNA product rather than picking on some guy who has virtually no impact on his company (although, Cornette should also spend more time worrying about ROH instead of throwing out death threats to Vince Russo, but I digress)
This time around, Cornette had a response…
“Eric continues to wound my sensitive feelings–so I feel I must rebut his facebook comments point by point.
It WAS real tough to look at myself in the mirror while working for the same company as Vince Russo, but with that out of my life I believe I am a darn good-looking guy.
I recently went on a low-carb diet, and with the advent of Sprite Zero I’m down to 231 pounds.
Everyone in the world except Easy E knows I don’t eat Big Macs, they’re far inferior to Wendy’s Triple Cheeses.
The only confidential corporate information yet to be revealed about TNA is how much Eric and Hogan soaked Dixie for when they played her, and whether Jason Hervey is getting Eric’s Midget Wrestling title.
Lastly, I never criticized TNA’s efforts or success since there’s no evidence they have ever legitimately made the former or achieved the latter. I think Eric is jealous of the fact that I don’t have to do as he does and continue to work alongside and/or kiss the ass of people who have sued him, blamed him for the death of WCW, or taken him down in a locker room and roughed him up with no rebuttal. That kind of thing can make you bitter, Eric, perhaps counseling could help.
Don’t knock the IWC, E, keep producing programs like Impact and that “5%” will look like the ratings for the moon landing.
Jim Cornette”
Burn.
It seems Cornette has taken the lead in this battle of wits.
Spotlight On: Camp Lo
Saturday, April 17th, 2010
De La Soul – So Good(Ft. Camp Lo) from TheWazaa34 on Vimeo.
I was first introduced to Camp Lo during my freshmen year at college via my roommate, Zeke. “Luchini (This Is It)” was blasted in our dorm room constantly. Camp Lo is one of the best rap duos of all time, and unfortunately, also one of the most slept-on and under-appreciated. These guys turned gibberish into a bonafide art form. Thanks for the memories, Camp Lo… we’ll always have second floor Prosser.

Jim Cornette wants Vince Russo dead; Eric Bischoff responds
Thursday, April 15th, 2010Once again, the backstage gossip of the pro-wrestling world becomes much more interesting than the scripted conflicts that we see on television.
The story began when Jim Cornette made some VERY strong remarks about Vince Russo in an e-mail that he wrote to Terry Taylor.
Some of the highlights from the e-mail include… “I hate Vince Russo. I despise Vince Russo. I want Vince Russo to die. If I could figure out a way to murder him without going to prison, I would consider it the greatest accomplishment of my life.
I hate him for the money he’s cost me. I hate him for what he’s done to the business. I hate him for keeping TNA from being competitive to WWE. I hate him for the careers, even the lives he’s ruined with his shitty booking and the irreparable damage he’s done to every promotion he’s been involved with. I regularly wake up from dreams in which I am in the act of murdering him. I literally burn whenever I think of him. I have sworn to myself that I will willingly go to jail if I ever see him in person again, and he had better pray to his fictitious invisible man in the sky that that day never comes. I intend to make it my life’s work and mission to fuck with him and anything he ever has anything to do with in the wrestling business.”
Shortly thereafter, Cornette received a letter from the law firm of Davis, Shapiro, Lewit & Hayes, LLP. In the letter, Cornette’s comments were called “terroristic threats,” and Cornette was told that Vince Russo has now “understandably experienced extreme fear for himself and his family.”
A fan asked Eric Bischoff about this incident on Bischoff’s Facebook fan page. This is what Easy E had to say about the topic:
“Fan: Cornette knows this business and is quite inteligent but either he’s suffering from dimentia or he has realized that he has burned every viable bridge and has become desperate to get over using the “shock” approach. It comes off as pathetic. If that’s how you feel then keep it to yourself. Mr. Tayler really had no choice in this matter. Heaven forbid if Mr. Russo would have been murdered (by Cornette or anybody else) then Mr. Tayler could have been in a lot of hot water.
Bischoff: Cornette doesn’t know any business. He is a low rent con man that is only good at gaining the attention of the internet wrestling community. He’s all yours! Trust me, he never has nor ever will become a part of a meaningful national promotion. But if you are looking for a bootleg dvd or a fake autograph….hes your guy!”
I can only imagine how much fun Vince McMahon is having laughing about all of this silliness while he counts his money in Stamford, CT…
Former WWE star Big Vito causes a riot in Nepal
Thursday, April 15th, 2010Skip to the 2 minute mark if you want to jump right to the riot footage.
Note to all wrestling promoters: If you’re booking a show in Nepal, DO NOT book the hometown hero to job.
Throwback Thursday: Thalia ft. Fat Joe – I Want You
Thursday, April 15th, 2010B.o.B. – Airplanes ft. Hayley Williams of Paramore
Wednesday, April 14th, 2010I think I like this song almost as much as I dislike “Nothin’ On You.” (I’m half-kidding, that song isn’t all that bad, it’s just really overplayed). I like how B.o.B. isn’t afraid to experiment with different genres to create a new sound in hip-hop. Note to all aspiring rappers: THIS is how you get noticed.
